Thomas1 “We were one of the first in the area to try AmeriStand 403T when we planted about 15 acres of it at the Miner Institute in cooperation with America’s Alfalfa a few years ago. It wasn’t actually part of a research plot, but rather to see how it did on a field-sized basis. We found that it did very well for us, even after we left it in the normal four to five years. It persisted very well and we were very happy with it.

“Now, we’re getting ready to plant about 50 acres of AmeriStand 404LH in April to help support the Institute’s 320-cow dairy. My selection of the AmeriStand 404LH was based on its leafhopper resistance, my confidence in America’s Alfalfa as a company and that variety’s performance in other trials. All of the alfalfa we harvest is chopped as silage and fed to our dairy cows, so we’re always looking at both yield and protein value. In my opinion, America’s Alfalfa has always bee a good company with good products.” - - Everett Thomas, retired agronomist and crops manager for the W. H Miner Institute in Chazy, New York and owner of Oak Point Agronomics; manager of 180 acres of alfalfa at the Miner Institute and an America’s Alfalfa grower for over 10 years.
